Product Care

Every piece of jewelry is thoughtfully designed and meticulously handcrafted. Follow these simple guidelines to ensure your jewelry will always stay beautiful.

Any jewelry should be removed prior to swimming, doing household cleaning or applying beauty products. A chemical reaction between metal or stone and external agents such as sulfurous water, chlorine, perfumes, lotions, hair spray, deodorant, detergent, abrasive cleaners, can cause deterioration of the jewelry and can erode the finish and polish of gems and pearls, leaving them dull.

Ideally, store your jewelry in a soft lined box or pouch and try to keep pieces apart, so they don’t rub together or tangle up.

SOLID GOLD
Use a soft jewelry polishing cloth or a mild dish soap with a soft brush to clean your solid gold pieces. Rinse thoroughly and let your jewelry air dry. Avoid wiping with a tissue paper or paper towel as they can cause scratches. You may take your jewelry to your local jeweler for a deep cleaning and polishing. It is recommended to check your prong set jewelry by a professional every 6 -12 month, so stones don’t come loose.

GOLD-PLATED, OXIDIZED or RHODIUM PLATED STERLING SILVER
A soft, non-abrasive cloth or a mild dish soap with a soft brush should be used to clean your gold plated, rhodium plated or oxidized silver pieces. Rinse thoroughly and let your jewelry air dry. Avoid wiping with a tissue paper or paper towel as they can cause scratches. Do not use silver cleaner or polishing cloth as it will remove a plating or oxidation. Excessive cleaning can remove a plating/oxidation too.

STERLING SILVER
Clean your sterling silver pieces with a soft, non-abrasive cloth or a mild dish soap with a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly and let your jewelry air dry. Silver jewelry cleaner can be used, but avoid using it on oxidized pieces as it will remove the special oxidation. Avoid wiping your sterling silver jewelry with a tissue paper or paper towel as they can cause scratches. Storing silver jewelry in a sealed zip-loc bag limits the tarnishing process.

DIAMONDS AND GEMSTONES
Wipe your jewelry gently with a soft cloth after you have worn it.  Do not store your diamond and gemstone jewelry next to other jewelry pieces as this may lead to scratches. We recommend a professional ultrasonic cleaning service at your local jeweler for a much deeper cleaning.

For pearls, amber and coral: ultrasonic cleaning or any liquid cleaning solution should be avoided, as it may dull a surface of a stone.
